Executive Summary
Dr. Alves of IU School of Medicine is interested in uncovering the wants and concerns of the undergraduate population and their advisors at IUPUI in order to provide recommendations that may smooth out the advising process for both groups.
The report written by our team will provide research done online through Google and the IUPUI Library databases, data collected from the public surveys created for the undergraduate students and advisors, and the formal recommendations. The goal of these recommendations is to support student advising as well as help the advisors with their workload.
Key Findings from Online Research and Surveys

75% of the undergraduate students that took the survey like or would appreciate it when their advisors email them to check in on them.

eAdvising has been proven to have a positive impact on students and advisors due to more freed up time and quicker responses. When asked if eAdvising would be something they would be interested in, 90% of students said yes.

When asked about using iGPS, 33.4% of students had some issues understanding how to use it and wished they were taught how to use it properly.
